Anyway, I think a massive help in my understanding Sorcery Scaling would be knowing exactly how it's calculated.

But then I realized, I am pretty sure that's exactly what Attribute Scaling is, which would make Sorcery Scaling completely redundant except to those who want a number instead of a letter grade. Set in the middle of the Sea of Shards, in the ruins of an ancient fortress Tristoy, your mission is to escape from this place and free the Famine Grieving. I initially thought it might be a sort of "efficiency metric" of sorts, to quantify how efficiently the staff utilizes the character stat points to convert/translate into damage output. I really don't understand what "Sorcery Scaling" is. I'm sorry this is so ridiculously long - I have been puzzling over this for a while now and I just can't make sense of it. I thought I had something else to note about Meteorite Staff's stats, but I don't remember anymore I'm quite tired. One would think that each Intelligence point would hold more weight when the Attribute Scaling is Int: S, no? If the Attribute Scaling were Int: A, would it have only increased by 2 points, and at Int: B, by one single point? If it were Int: C, would it have remained the same? But then how would Int: C be any better than Int: D or Int: E?

Despite the Meteorite Staff having an Attribute Scaling of Int: S, leveling my character's Intelligence up one point only increased the Attribute Scaling by 3 points. At character Int: 50, the Meteorite Staff had a Sorcery Scaling of 218 at character Int: 51, the Sorcery Scaling is 221. On top of all that, I checked to see how much the Sorcery Scaling on the Meteorite Staff would change (increase? decrease? remain the same?) when I leveled my character one level and put the single point into Intelligence. Wouldn't the addition of a whole extra letter grade cause the Sorcery Scaling to increase higher than that of Glintstone Staff + Astrologer's Staff, when both the other letter grades are the same (constant)? My character stats show low Strength but more Dexterity - yet the Sorcery Scaling of the Staff of Loss is somehow lower than that of both the Glintstone Staff + Astrologer's Staff. Next we notice the Staff of Loss has three Attribute Scalings, two of which are the same letter grade as those of Glintstone Staff and Astrologer's Staff (Strength and Intelligence) Dexterity is a third letter grade scaling. Then we see Academy Glintstone Staff has a Sorcery Scaling of 157, which is a mere single point higher than that of Astrologer's Staff, despite the Attribute Scaling of the former being a whole letter grade higher in Intelligence, and the same letter grade in Strength (one would think the Sorcery Scaling would be much higher, no?). The Attribute Scaling for Glintstone Staff + Astrologer's Staff are the same, and of course my own character stats are the same (constant), yet their Sorcery Scalings are different, albeit by 3 points. I don't quite understand these numbers when I have your explanation framed in my mind. My Character's Stats (when noting the above stats) - Str: 15 / Int: 51 / Dex: 22 Meteorite Staff - Sorcery Scaling 221, Attribute Scaling Str: D / Int: S Staff of Loss - Sorcery Scaling 145, Attribute Scaling Str: E / Int: C / Dex: E Glintstone Staff - Sorcery Scaling 153, Attribute Scaling Str: E / Int: CĪstrologer's Staff - Sorcery Scaling 156, Attribute Scaling Str: E / Int: C

All genres 2.I may just be misunderstanding this still, but I'm not sure how that can be ("that"=your first two lines) when I'm looking at this:Īcademy Glintstone Staff - Sorcery Scaling 157, Attribute Scaling Str: E / Int: B
